BayArea Saree Swag!
Every desi girl loves her Saree. Living in the United States how often do you really get to wear sarees, not as often as you would like! In order to fix that problem, I created a Bay Area Saree Swag group specifically for the Bay Area! I thought it would be a small group of gals but it grew overnight and we have over 500 members in just two weeks, thanks for all the love and support! Our first meetup was a few days ago at this newly opened restaurant called Kish Indian Kitchen and Bar in Santa Clara. It was February month of love, so red sarees was the color of the meetup.
As soon as we all walked in with our red sarees, the maître de asked us if we there to celebrate something special and of course we were there to celebrate girls in Sarees! Lots of pictures and video’s followed, introductions were exchanged, delicious appetizers and food was relished, drinks were ordered and endless talks and giggles! Luncheon meetup ended with a goodie bag for our winner of best introduction in the Saree Swag Group! Come join us in our group, if you are a saree lover and also join us for our monthly meetups!
Look forward to making new friends and adventures!
Scroll down to see what I wore at this meetup a Red Ruffled Border Pre-Stitched Satin Saree! A Pre-stitched saree that features ruffles all along its border enhanced by floral applique work around its pleated pallu. I wasn’t a fan of the blouse that came with it so I decide to do my own nude crop top as a blouse! Saree is fairly easy to tie no need to worry about pleats since it’s all pre-stitched. Also wore the saree silhouette by Tia Bhuva, a perfect accessory for all your sarges! Comes in a variety of colors, I picked the golden tan to match my skin!
Shilpa Samai/ Celebrations Jewelry is a Bay Area Boutique that caters to custom designs and she can create this pre-stiched satin saree for you if you are looking for one! Earrings also by Shilpa Samai/Celebrations Jewelry.
